Fell asleep at the wheel: Driver's license suspended until 2043
In Yalova, police teams discovered an intoxicated driver who had fallen asleep at the wheel. The driver's license was suspended until the year 2043.
During traffic inspections increased for the Eid al-Adha holiday, teams working in Yalova encountered an unusual situation. Police officers, who noticed a person sleeping at the wheel of a vehicle parked on the side of the road, immediately conducted an alcohol test. It was determined that the driver had a blood alcohol level of 4.15 promille. Consequently, his driver's license was suspended until 2043, and an administrative fine of 37,354 TL was imposed.

Teams from the Yalova Police Department's Regional Traffic Inspection Branch noticed a driver named Y.G. sleeping at the wheel of a car stopped in the right lane during inspections carried out on the Yalova-Izmit highway as part of Eid al-Adha security measures.
The alcohol test revealed that Y.G. had a blood alcohol level of 4.15 promille. Following this, the driver was fined 37,354 TL under the relevant law, and his driver's license was temporarily suspended until January 15, 2043. Y.G. was handed over to the Çiftlikköy Gendarmerie Command teams for judicial proceedings.
