Femicide in Bağcılar: Nurse killed by her boyfriend

The incident occurred yesterday evening in a building on Maslak Street in the Göztepe neighborhood. According to allegations, an individual named S.V. went to the police in Pendik and stated that his brother, Cumali V., had killed his girlfriend.

NURSE'S BODY DISCOVERED

Following this report, the Public Security Branch Directorate's Murder Bureau and district teams quickly went to the specified address. When the police teams received no response after knocking on the door, they broke the door down under the prosecutor's instructions and entered. Upon entering, the police teams discovered the body of Sibel Kavılı, who worked as a nurse at a state hospital.

HER BOYFRIEND TURNED OUT TO BE THE KILLER

Immediately following the incident, the suspect Cumali V. (45) was taken into custody. It was determined that the murder suspect, who was taken to the Murder Bureau, also worked at the same hospital as his murdered nurse girlfriend and was employed as a security guard.

RECORD FOR ASSAULT FOUND

Sibel Kavılı, who had a child from a previous marriage, had allegedly been in a relationship with the murder suspect Cumali V. for 8 years. According to the statement given by the murder suspect, he claimed that they had been arguing for a month and that he killed his girlfriend following an argument that escalated on the day of the incident. An investigation revealed that Cumali V. has a criminal record for 3 counts of intentional injury, and his interrogation is ongoing.
