Ferdi Zeyrek commemorated in Manisa on the first anniversary of his passing

Manisa Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Ferdi Zeyrek, who was severely injured after being electrocuted in the motor section of the pool in his home's garden on June 9 last year and passed away at the hospital where he was taken, was commemorated with ceremonies held on the first anniversary of his death. The first stop of the commemoration program was in front of the Manisa Metropolitan Municipality building. The late mayor's wife, Nurcan Zeyrek, and his daughter, Nehir Zeyrek, also attended the ceremony. The arrival of Nurcan Zeyrek and Nehir Zeyrek at the ceremony area was met with applause by the citizens.

During the ceremony held in front of the municipality, Ferdi Zeyrek's wife Nurcan Zeyrek, Manisa Metropolitan Municipality Secretary General Burak Deste, and Manisa Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Besim Dutlulu each delivered speeches, remembering Zeyrek with mercy and longing.

As part of the program, a prayer was recited by Yusuf Kocademir. Following the prayer, those attending the ceremony commemorated the late mayor by leaving carnations in front of Ferdi Zeyrek's photograph. The first carnations were laid by the late mayor's wife, Nurcan, and his daughter, Nehir Zeyrek. The mother and daughter then embraced, sharing an emotional moment.

Following the commemoration program in front of the municipality, citizens attended the mevlid-i şerif (religious memorial service) recited at the Hatuniye Mosque.
