Ferdi Zeyrek's daughter Nehir Zeyrek's outcry: 'How can you release him?'

Yalçın Ö. and Ahmet S., who were detained as part of the investigation into the death of Manisa Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Ferdi Zeyrek due to an electric shock at his home, had been released under judicial control.

Ferdi Zeyrek's daughter, Nehir Zeyrek, reacted to this decision in a post on her social media account.

Nehir Zeyrek said, "I am not a lawyer either, but I am asking you: How can you release that man called Yalçın when my statement has not even been taken yet?"

Nehir Zeyrek's post is as follows:

"I was told that the responsibility lies with the landlord. But how was my father supposed to know what a residual current device is? Whether it was installed or not?

How does a motor pump work, how was he supposed to know that? My father was an architect, not an electrical engineer.

I am not a lawyer either, but I am asking you: How can you release that man called Yalçın when my statement has not even been taken yet?

They said they would take our statements on Friday. Thank you, they said, 'Let the family recover first.' But no one came to ask: Are we able to sleep at night?"
