Ferdi Zeyrek's treatment continues in intensive care: Nearly 20 people have testified

Manisa Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Ferdi Zeyrek was seriously injured on June 5 due to an electrical leak in the pool machine room at his home in the Keçiliköy neighborhood. After his heart stopped during the incident, he was resuscitated following approximately 70 minutes of CPR by medical teams and subsequently taken to the hospital.

Zeyrek was admitted to the intensive care unit at Manisa Celal Bayar University Hafsa Sultan Hospital. Chief Physician Prof. Dr. İsmet Topçu stated, "His condition is critical but stable. We are closely monitoring all organ systems and burn injuries." He noted that the process is dynamic and that every moment is being carefully observed.

INVESTIGATION DEEPENS

In the investigation launched by the Manisa Chief Public Prosecutor's Office following the accident, crime scene investigation teams and an expert committee conducted an on-site inspection. The report to be prepared by the expert committee, which initially arrived at the scene with mechanical and electrical engineers, is expected to be submitted to the prosecutor's office next week.

Officials speaking about the testimony process announced that approximately 20 people thought to have a connection to the incident have provided statements. These individuals include the health, security, and fire department teams that were the first to reach the scene. It was learned that family members have not yet been called to testify.
