Ferry runs aground in İzmir after captain falls ill
The Konak-Bostanlı ferry in İzmir went off course and ran aground after the captain suddenly fell ill.
According to the information obtained, the incident occurred in the evening hours.

The captain of the Konak-Bostanlı ferry suddenly fell ill shortly after picking up passengers from Karşıyaka, causing the vessel to drift off course. The passenger ship named "Mustafa Günay," which drifted near the Konak Pier, subsequently ran aground.
PASSENGERS TRANSFERRED TO ANOTHER VESSEL
While the 80 passengers on board experienced great panic, numerous teams were dispatched to the area. Although the ship sustained damage, no passengers were injured. It was learned that the passengers were transferred to another vessel, and efforts to recover the ship are ongoing.
