FETÖ fugitive Bekir Boydak arrested in Istanbul

Within the scope of the investigation conducted into the Fethullahist Terrorist Organization/Parallel State Structure (FETÖ/PDY), fugitive Bekir Boydak, a board member of the Boydak Holding company group to which a trustee was appointed, has been captured in an operation carried out in Istanbul.

According to information obtained, in a joint operation conducted by the Istanbul Intelligence Branch Directorate and Counter-Terrorism (TEM) teams aimed at uncovering the actions and activities of the FETÖ/PDY Armed Terrorist Organization, it was determined that organization member Bekir Boydak, who has a finalized 7-year-and-6-month prison sentence, was hiding in Istanbul.

Certain addresses in the Çekmeköy district where Boydak, a board member of the Boydak Holding company group to which a trustee was appointed, might be hiding were placed under surveillance.

A simultaneous operation was carried out against the identified addresses at approximately 06:00 in the morning.

During the raids, Bekir Boydak, who was wanted as a “fugitive” for membership in the organization, was captured and taken into custody along with a large amount of cash, gold bullion, and jewelry.

Organization member Boydak, who has a finalized 7-year-and-6-month prison sentence from the Kayseri Heavy Penal Execution Office, was taken to the Istanbul Police Department's building on Vatan Street for processing.

Bekir Boydak was arrested by the court he was brought before after his procedures at the police station were completed.
