According to information obtained from security sources, MİT and the police conducted a joint operation in Algeria to capture the two terrorists, who were wanted for the crime of "Membership in an Armed Terrorist Organization."
Mustafa Tan and Mustafa Bircan, who were captured in the operation, were handed over to the Counter-Terrorism Branch of the Ankara Police Department following processing.
It was stated that FETÖ members Tan and Bircan were part of the terrorist organization's structure in Algeria, organized organizational activities in Algeria in coordination with the organization's leaders in the US, and provided financial support to the organization.
