Field Proficiency Tests session of YKS has begun

The Measurement, Selection and Placement Center (ÖSYM) has begun the second session of the Higher Education Institutions Examination (2024-YKS), the Field Proficiency Tests (AYT), which is being held in 81 provinces and Nicosia and for which 2 million 19 thousand 709 candidates applied.

Following the first session of the YKS, the Basic Proficiency Test (TYT), which was held yesterday, the second session, AYT, began at 10:15. A total of 282 thousand 812 personnel are on duty for the exam, which is being administered in 6 thousand 231 buildings and 112 thousand 695 halls.

In the AYT, for which a total of 2 million 19 thousand 709 candidates applied, candidates will be asked 40 questions in the Turkish Language and Literature-Social Sciences-1 Test, 40 questions in the Social Sciences-2 Test, 40 questions in the Mathematics Test, and 40 questions in the Science Test, and they will be given 180 minutes.

A total of 8 thousand 334 disabled candidates are participating in the AYT in single and group halls organized according to disability groups. There are 1140 reader-markers on duty for the AYT.

Candidates were not admitted to the exam buildings after 10:00. Provincial and district population directorates are being kept open on exam days for candidates who have lost their Republic of Turkey identity cards, do not have an identity card, or whose identity cards do not contain a Republic of Turkey identity number and photograph.

ADDITIONAL TIME FOR DISABLED CANDIDATES

With the regulation made this year, an additional 30 minutes of time is being given to all disabled candidates who receive reader or marker assistance and who did not previously have the right to benefit from additional time.

On the other hand, the Higher Education Institutions Examination (YKS) is being held in Zagreb, the capital of Croatia, for the national football players of the Under-18 National Football Team participating in the Friendship Tournament.
