Figen Yüksekdağ's sister laid to rest
Saniye Yüksekdağ, the sister of former HDP Co-Chair Figen Yüksekdağ, who passed away in Adana, has been laid to rest in the Yumurtalık district.
Saniye Yüksekdağ, the sister of Figen Yüksekdağ, who has been imprisoned in Kocaeli Kandıra Prison for 8 years, was found dead in her home in the Çukurova district.

According to reports, medical teams arrived following a notification from relatives who had not heard from her for 3 days and confirmed that Yüksekdağ had passed away. Yüksekdağ, who was known to be receiving treatment for stomach cancer and living alone, had her body taken from the morgue at noon today and brought to the Gölovası neighborhood of the Yumurtalık district.
HER SISTER COULD NOT ATTEND THE FUNERAL
Saniye Yüksekdağ was laid to rest in the Gölovası Cemetery following the funeral prayer held there. The funeral was attended by Yumurtalık Mayor Erdinç Altıok, the DEM Party district chair, party members, and Yüksekdağ's relatives. Figen Yüksekdağ, who is in prison, was unable to attend the funeral.
