Fight between two groups of children ends in murder
In the Çayırova district of Kocaeli, a 16-year-old child was stabbed in the heart and lost his life during a fight between two groups of children, while his friend who tried to intervene was injured.
The incident occurred on 210 Street in the Özgürlük neighborhood of Çayırova district. According to the information obtained, an argument broke out for reasons yet unknown between two groups who were reportedly hostile toward each other.
As the argument escalated into a fight, 16-year-old Rıdvan Saygın was critically injured after being stabbed in the heart.
His friend, who tried to break up the fight, was also stabbed in the leg. While the group involved in the incident fled the scene, nearby citizens notified the 112 Emergency Call Center.
Upon the report, medical teams arrived at the scene and transported the injured to the hospital by ambulance. Despite all interventions at the hospital, Rıdvan Saygın could not be saved and lost his life.
Police teams have launched an investigation to apprehend the fleeing suspects.
