During the heavy rainfall that affected Istanbul on October 14, a creek overflowed in the Ayazağa neighborhood of Sarıyer. While numerous homes, businesses, and vehicles were submerged due to the flood, no word has been received from Ahmet Derin and Haşim Ciritoğulları since the disaster.
As search efforts to locate the two missing individuals continue, the final footage of Derin and Ciritoğulları has also emerged. The moments when Ahmet Derin attempted to hold onto a vehicle amidst the floodwaters were recorded by a bystander using a mobile phone camera.

In the footage, Derin is seen trying to hold onto a vehicle in the middle of the strong current. Security camera recordings showing the moments Haşim Ciritoğulları left his workplace in Seyrantepe have also surfaced.

While search efforts continue, footage regarding the moments Ahmet Derin's vehicle was swept away by floodwaters was also shared. The recordings, taken on the first day of the flood, show the vehicle being caught in the current and moving along.

Efforts by AFAD and police teams to find the missing individuals in Ayazağa Creek are ongoing. It was stated that volunteers are also supporting the search alongside the teams in the region.
Haşim Ciritoğulları's son, Enes Ciritoğulları, stated that they have not heard from his father for 4 days and are following the search efforts. Ciritoğulları said, "There is no trace. Today, we searched from the beginning of Ayazağa down to under the creek bridge."
