Fire at the Spice Bazaar extinguished
A fire broke out at the Spice Bazaar in Eminönü, Istanbul. Numerous firefighting crews were dispatched to the scene, and it was stated that the fire has been brought under control.
It was learned that the fire at the Spice Bazaar started in the chimney section of a restaurant located inside the historic bazaar.
Following the intervention of the crews, the fire was extinguished before it could spread.

ABOUT THE SPICE BAZAAR
The Spice Bazaar is located in Eminönü, behind the New Mosque (Yeni Camii) and next to the Flower Market. It is one of the oldest covered bazaars in Istanbul.
Famous for its spice merchants, this bazaar still sells products in line with its old traditions, such as natural remedies, spices, flower seeds, and rare plant roots and barks, as well as nuts, delicatessen products, and various food items.
The Spice Bazaar is also open on Sundays.
