Istanbul Technical University (ITU) fire crews have extinguished a fire that broke out at the Ayazağa campus.
According to the information obtained, the fire started in a container where workers at the campus were staying.
The following statement was made by the Istanbul Governor's Office:
"On 06.03.2024, at approximately 08:00, a fire broke out in a container located within the ITU Maslak campus where workers were staying. There were no deaths or injuries in the incident. The fire was brought under control following the intervention of fire crews, and cooling efforts are ongoing. The cause of the fire will be determined after the fire department's investigation. An investigation into the incident has been initiated."
