TEAMS ARRIVED FROM SURROUNDING PROVINCES
Fire crews from Kocaeli and surrounding districts were dispatched to the scene. The teams brought the fire under control and extinguished it after a 1-hour intervention. A portion of the factory was rendered unusable in the fire.
The fire was captured from the air by drone.
Speaking about the fire, a factory official said, "We were working in the factory and saw the smoke. We didn't know it was our own facility. It spread very quickly. It was being used as a warehouse. There were bathroom accessories, stones, and so on inside," they said.
