Fire extinguished in car traveling on 15 July Martyrs Bridge
Fire crews intervened after a car suddenly burst into flames while traveling from the Anatolian side to the European side of the bridge.
The fire occurred around 00:30 on the 15 July Martyrs Bridge. The car with license plate 34 GRU 338, which was traveling from the Anatolian side toward the European side, suddenly caught fire for an unknown reason.
As the flames grew rapidly, the car turned into a fireball.
Upon notification, fire, police, and medical teams were dispatched to the scene. While the fire was extinguished as a result of the intervention by the fire crews, traffic congestion occurred in the Anatolia-Europe direction of the bridge.
Traffic flow on the bridge in the Anatolia-Europe direction returned to normal after the vehicle, which was extinguished by the fire crews, was removed from the road. An investigation into the incident has been initiated.
