Fire in Avcılar brought under control after 6 hours
The fire that broke out at a recycling facility in Avcılar in the evening was largely brought under control at the end of the 6th hour. Fire crews are continuing cooling efforts.
The fire broke out at a plastic recycling facility on Servis Street in the Tahtakale neighborhood of Avcılar around 19:00.
Fire crews from 20 districts were dispatched to the fire, which started for an unknown reason.

Following an intense 6-hour intervention, the fire was largely brought under control around 01:00.

Fire crews are continuing cooling efforts after the fire grew quickly and engulfed the entire workplace. Intervention continues for the waste that is still partially burning with flames.
