Fire in Beyoğlu! Police rescue child from the smoke
A child trapped in smoke during a fire at a kiosk on Istiklal Avenue in Beyoğlu was rescued by police.
The fire broke out for an unknown reason around 22:30 in a kiosk located on the ground floor of a 6-story building on Istiklal Avenue in Beyoğlu. The shop was engulfed in thick smoke. Upon notification, fire, police, and medical teams were dispatched to the scene. A police officer carried the child, who was trapped in the smoke-filled building, out in his arms.

With the intervention of citizens and fire crews, the fire was brought under control in a short time. It was learned that the child, who received medical attention at the scene, is in good health. An investigation into the fire has been initiated.
