Fire in Sarıyer brought under control after 9 hours
The fire that broke out yesterday at 17:00 on Balabandere Street in Sarıyer was completely brought under control after 9 hours of effort by firefighting teams.
The fire, which started yesterday at 17:00 on Balabandere Street in the Ferahevler neighborhood of Sarıyer, was initially extinguished when it first broke out, but reignited in the following hours. After intensive efforts by the fire department, the fire has been brought under control once again.
While cooling efforts continue, a dense cloud of smoke has covered the area, and fire and municipal teams are continuing to extinguish flames that persist in some spots.
Sarıyer Mayor Mustafa Oktay Aksu, who arrived at the scene a few hours ago to inspect the situation regarding the fire, stated: “Get well soon to all of us. There is no cause for concern. There are no deaths or injuries. We currently have no data regarding the cause of the fire.”
