Fire in the attic of a 4-story building in Çekmeköy

In an incident that occurred on Şenlik Street in the Soğukpınar neighborhood of Istanbul's Çekmeköy district, a fire broke out in the attic of a 4-story building for an unknown reason.

THE FIRE WAS BROUGHT UNDER CONTROL IN A SHORT TIME

As the flames grew in a short time and engulfed the entire apartment, citizens in the vicinity notified the fire department. Upon notification, fire crews, police, and medical teams were dispatched to the scene. The fire crews that arrived at the scene brought the fire under control in a short time. While there were no deaths or injuries in the incident, the attic became unusable.

The police have launched an investigation into the incident.

Gürkan Kılıç, one of the neighborhood residents who witnessed the event, said, "I saw the roof was burning, I immediately rang the bells and notified everyone. Then we called the fire department. The teams arrived and extinguished it".
