Fire scare at Mecidiyeköy metro station
A security guard affected by smoke during a fire at the Mecidiyeköy metro station was taken to the hospital as a precaution.
The fire broke out at the Şişli-Mecidiyeköy metro station at around 23:30. According to the information obtained, smoke began to rise from the motor section of an escalator for an unknown reason.
Upon the notification of those who saw the smoke, police, fire, and medical teams arrived at the scene. A security guard affected by the smoke was taken to the hospital by ambulance as a precaution.

Following the intervention of the fire crews who arrived at the scene, the fire was extinguished and brought under control in a short time before it could spread.

Police teams took security measures at the metro station where the smoke was rising. An investigation has been launched by the teams regarding the cause of the fire.
