First Marmaray, now Maltepe... Female driver assaulted in traffic in front of her children

While the repercussions of the physical assault on the Marmaray continue, a similar incident of violence has occurred this time on the coastal road in Istanbul's Maltepe district. The incident took place on Thursday, May 29, at approximately 18:00.

According to allegations, the female driver, who was in her vehicle with her two children, was waiting in the second lane to make a left turn when the driver of the vehicle behind her reacted by honking his horn. The level of violence escalated quickly.

The male driver got out of his vehicle and approached the female driver. He began shouting and hurling insults through the car window. He then forcibly took the mobile phone from the woman's hand and threw it hard at her face.

The panic and fear experienced by the two young children in the vehicle during the incident were also captured on a mobile phone camera. The female driver recorded the moment of the attack second by second and submitted it as evidence.
