First message from arrested Bayrampaşa Mayor Hasan Mutlu: We will not bow down

Mutlu shared his first message on his social media account following the arrest decision. In his post, Mutlu stated the following:

"Because we brought service to Bayrampaşa after 30 years, my colleagues and I have been unlawfully arrested.

There is neither concrete evidence nor a valid legal justification.

Our only crime is not bowing down to pressures and threats, and not giving up on our truths.

We have never taken a step back from our principles, our stance, or our attitude, and we will not do so. We will not bow down!"
