First message from Jahrein: 'We will meet again'

Ahmet Sonuç, known on social media by the name "Jahrein," has conveyed his first message to his followers through his lawyer, Burhanettin Mumcuoğlu, after being arrested and sent to prison on charges of "obscenity." 

Ahmet Sonuç was accused and arrested due to remarks he made during a live broadcast on a platform called the "Incel Chat Room."

HE SENT A MESSAGE TO HIS FOLLOWERS

Sharing a statement through his lawyer, Sonuç both described his current situation and thanked his followers who have supported him. In a statement on his social media account, lawyer Mumcuoğlu noted that they are taking legal action against media outlets that have published false news.

The following statements were included in Ahmet Sonuç’s message:

"My client Ahmet Sonuç (Jahrein) has been in prison since Friday night, September 13. He believes the process he is going through is horrific and unjust. He is particularly surprised by the lynching campaign carried out by the media. He expresses that he misses his family, and especially his son, very much. Stating that he has been subjected to public manipulation and that he was arrested completely unjustly, Ahmet believes that this process will end as soon as possible."

''WE WILL MEET AGAIN''

In the note he sent, Sonuç conveyed his love to his followers and, along with a military salute gesture, used the following expressions:

"Thank you for your efforts. I love you all and I miss you very much. We will meet again."

Lawyer Mumcuoğlu stated that they have initiated legal proceedings against media outlets spreading false news and that the appeal against Ahmet Sonuç’s unjust detention is being evaluated.
