First message from Nasuh Mahruki regarding his detention process
Former AKUT President Nasuh Mahruki, who was arrested on charges of publicly disseminating misleading information to the public, thanked everyone who supported him. His wife, Mine Mahruki, shared Nasuh Mahruki's message with the public and made statements regarding the difficult process they are going through.
Following his detention, Nasuh Mahruki conveyed his messages of support through his wife, Mine Mahruki. Mine Mahruki, who meets with her husband during weekly closed visits and has short phone conversations, emphasized that this process is very difficult for their family.
Nasuh Mahruki stated the following:
"What is happening is a process. My motivation is high, and I have had no intention, action, or statement that would constitute a crime. I maintain my trust in the judiciary. I am grateful to everyone who has shown support."
'WE BELIEVE JUSTICE WILL BE SERVED'
In a statement she made on social media, Mine Mahruki shared her feelings with these words:
"Nasuh is a person who has dedicated his life to saving people and to social solidarity. The support of our friends, who cannot reconcile what is happening with what he has done, strengthens us. We have full faith that justice will be served. We believe that we will overcome this process through solidarity."
Stating that his wife and children are proudly waiting for Nasuh Mahruki, Mine Mahruki said:
"Our Nasuh has been a symbol of hope and conscience during the country's most painful times. We believe that we will be together again as soon as possible. We are grateful to everyone who has not left us alone."
While Nasuh Mahruki's situation continues to be discussed in the public eye, his family and supporters are waiting with hope for the day justice will be served.
