First reaction from CHP Chairman Özgür Özel: I promise you honor and dignity

The 36th Civil Chamber of the Ankara Regional Court of Justice has issued an "absolute nullity" ruling regarding the CHP convention case.

According to the ruling, Özgür Özel and his administration, who enabled the CHP to become the leading party after 47 years, are suspended from duty as a precautionary measure, while Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu and his administration are set to return to office.

The CHP stated, "We do not recognize this ruling," and the Central Executive Board (MYK) convened for an emergency meeting.

The first message following the "absolute nullity" ruling has come from Republican People's Party (CHP) Chairman Özgür Özel.

Following the absolute nullity ruling, Özel shared a segment of the speech he delivered at the 39th Ordinary Convention.

In a post on his personal X account, Özel stated, "I do not promise you a path to power through a rose garden. I promise you the endurance of pain, but not surrender. I promise you honor, dignity, courage, and struggle!" he said.
