CHP Group Deputy Chairman Murat Emir commented on his social media account regarding the 'fool case' ruling issued against Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Ekrem İmamoğlu.
Emir expressed his reaction to the ruling against İmamoğlu with the following statements:
"The 'fool case' ruling issued against our presidential candidate Ekrem İmamoğlu is one of the darkest pages in the history of the Turkish judiciary in every aspect.
The last-minute replacement of judges, the forced declaration of victimhood in a matter where YSK members stated 'we are not the concerned party,' and the resulting confirmation ruling are not the work of law, but the work of the palace's scribes.
This case is not a legal case; this case is a political engineering operation!
The government has manufactured one of the republic's biggest conspiracy cases out of the word 'fool' in order to sideline its political rival."
