Following the historic speech by Devlet Bahçeli, who said he would 'speak from the heart of the book' at his party's group meeting, the first reactions came from nationalist figures.

Ümit Özdağ expressed his reaction on his X account, saying, "Bahçeli wanted the terrorist leader Öcalan to speak at the DEM group in the TBMM. May God damn such politics. A baby-killing terrorist is going to speak at the DEM group in the TBMM, the veteran parliament that fought the War of Independence. It is unbelievable."

İYİ Party Adana deputy Dr. Ayyüce Türkeş Taş made a striking statement, saying, "I couldn't believe my ears... I condemn Devlet Bahçeli, who invited the baby-killer, the terrorist leader, to parliament to make a speech and said he should benefit from the RIGHT TO HOPE. Everyone is obligated to carry the responsibility of the seat they occupy. No one can sit in the seat of Başbuğ Alparslan TÜRKEŞ and support terror.
