A verdict has been reached in the trial regarding the assassination of former Ülkü Ocakları President Sinan Ateş in Ankara.
The first statement from Sinan Ateş's wife, Ayşe Ateş, came after the final hearing.
Ateş stated, "In the trial conducted here, only the foot soldiers were tried. The ones in Pennsylvania—well, the ones in Pennsylvania are those walking around freely outside. From the podiums they sit on, they are wagging their fingers at us to prevent the criminals from being tried. We experienced this today. We want justice. Is our mistake asking for justice? If we had stayed silent, they would probably be very happy. I am not going anywhere; I will continue this march for justice until the end, until every single criminal finds their punishment and ends up behind bars. We shall see who is stronger!"
