First statement from Çankaya Mayor Hüseyin Can Güner while in custody!

As part of an investigation conducted by the Ankara Chief Public Prosecutor's Office into the Çankaya Municipality on charges of establishing a criminal organization, being a member of a criminal organization, bribery, and bid-rigging, detention warrants were issued for 36 people, including Mayor Hüseyin Can Güner.

Following the operation, Güner, who arrived in Ankara, was taken into custody at Esenboğa Airport and brought to the Ankara Police Department. 

The first statement has come from Güner, who is in custody.

Dear Neighbors,

I have done nothing that would make me ashamed before you.

The statement made from Güner's social media account included the following expressions:
