First statement from DEM Party on terrorist organization PKK's 'dissolution' decision! 'Tried for years but...'

The first comment from the DEM Party front has come regarding the terrorist organization PKK's announcement of dissolution and laying down arms.

DEM Party Co-Chair Tuncer Bakırhan, in his statement to members of the press, said, "May the congress be auspicious for Turkey; there is no longer any excuse left not to solve the Kurdish issue and to build a democratic Turkey. I hope we crown this process with peace. Greetings, respect, and love to you all."

Pervin Buldan, a member of the DEM Party Imralı Delegation who played an active role in the process and conducted meetings with terrorist leader Abdullah Öcalan, stated, "An atmosphere has been captured that was tried for years without results, but which we can now embrace with hope today. A new era has begun where we will remove the barbed wire and crown peace. I wish Sırrı Süreyya could have seen this. May it lead to good things."
