First statement from Esat Yontunç following arrest warrant
Acun Medya General Coordinator Esat Yontunç, for whom an arrest warrant was issued as part of a drug and prostitution investigation, has responded to the allegations. Yontunç, who is currently in the Dominican Republic for the filming of Survivor, categorically denied the accusations and announced that he is taking steps to return to Turkey.
Esat Yontunç, a long-time business partner of Acun Ilıcalı who serves as the General Coordinator of Acun Medya, has broken his silence regarding the arrest warrant issued against him as part of a "drug and prostitution investigation."
Currently in the Dominican Republic for the filming of Survivor, Yontunç emphasized in a statement on his social media account that the allegations are baseless.
"I TRUST MYSELF"
Stating that he has had no connection to such matters throughout his life, the famous television producer included the following remarks in his statement:
"I have never had any involvement with these issues throughout my life. My conscience is clear, and I trust myself. I will return to my country on the first flight."
A 24-YEAR CAREER IN THE MEDIA WORLD
Born in Istanbul in 1969 and a graduate of the Department of Anthropology at Istanbul University, Esat Yontunç began his television career in 2002 with the program "Acun Firarda," which he produced with Acun Ilıcalı.
Serving as General Coordinator within Acun Medya since 2004, Yontunç has been part of the management team for Turkey's most-watched productions, including Survivor, O Ses Türkiye, Yetenek Sizsiniz, Var Mısın Yok Musun, and MasterChef. Yontunç stated that he will enter Turkey as soon as possible to participate in the investigation process and provide his statement.
