According to information on the website of the Disaster and Emergency Management Authority (AFAD), the tremor, with its epicenter in Yedisu, was recorded at 02:24.
It was stated that the earthquake occurred at a depth of 12.79 kilometers.
In the statement made by the Bingöl Governor's Office, it was noted that initial field scans conducted across the city determined there was no loss of life or property due to the earthquake, and the statement included the words, "Get well soon, Bingöl; may God protect our nation from all kinds of disasters."
