First statement from the Governor's Office following the earthquake in Hatay
The Hatay Governor's Office announced that there were no negative incidents following the 4.2 magnitude earthquake that occurred in the city center.
According to AFAD data, a 4.2 magnitude earthquake occurred at a depth of 7 kilometers in the Antakya district of Hatay at approximately 12:20. Citizens who felt the earthquake experienced anxiety. According to initial assessments, no destruction has been reported.
In a statement made by the Hatay Governor's Office, it was stated, "A 4.2 Mw magnitude earthquake has occurred in the Antakya district of Hatay. As of now, no negative reports have been received by the 112 Emergency Call Center. Developments are being monitored."
