In Gayrettepe, Istanbul, 25 citizens lost their lives and 3 others were injured in a fire that broke out at a venue called Masquerade Club, located in a 16-story building and reportedly undergoing renovations.
Additionally, 5 people have been detained in connection with the incident.
Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Ekrem İmamoğlu, who went to the scene and shared an update, announced via X that the intensive efforts of the fire department teams are continuing.
