Minister of Justice Yılmaz Tunç stated, "Israel must urgently comply with the provisional measures decision taken by the International Court of Justice and put an end to this crime against humanity."

In a statement on his social media account, Minister Tunç recalled that a lawsuit was filed against Israel for violating the United Nations Convention on the Prevention and Punishment of the Crime of Genocide, and that the International Court of Justice had issued a provisional measures decision in the case.

FIRST STATEMENT FROM MINISTER TUNÇ

Noting that the Court's decision to issue provisional measures is positive in terms of stopping the bloodshed in Palestine and ending the crime against humanity, Tunç stated the following:

"Israel must urgently comply with the provisional measures decision taken by the International Court of Justice and put an end to this crime against humanity. Israel, which has caused the loss of life of more than 26 thousand Palestinians, including 11 thousand children and 7 thousand women, and the injury of over 64 thousand people since October 7, must urgently implement the provisional measures decision and stop its attacks immediately. The international mechanism must also act immediately to ensure the implementation of the decision."
