First statement from rapper Canbay following footballer's murder: We are grieving
Singer Aleyna Kalaycıoğlu was taken into custody following an armed attack in Ümraniye that resulted in the death of 21-year-old footballer Kubilay Kaan Kundakçı. Rapper Canbay spoke for the first time following the incident.
In an incident that occurred on the night of March 19 on Sıddık Street in Istanbul's Ümraniye district, rapper Vahap Canbay wanted to reconcile with singer Aleyna Kalaycıoğlu, from whom he had separated some time ago.
For this, he requested support from his friend, footballer Kubilay Kaan Kundakçı.
The 21-year-old Kundakçı went to the front of the studio where Kalaycıoğlu was located, accompanied by Canbay and others, to act as a mediator.
According to allegations, individuals arriving in luxury vehicles equipped with flashing lights carried out an armed attack on the group waiting inside the car.
The young footballer, who was seriously wounded as a result of the fire opened by one of the suspects, A.K., lost his life in the hospital where he was taken, despite all interventions.
While efforts to capture the attackers continue as part of the investigation launched following the incident, singer Aleyna Kalaycıoğlu has been taken into custody.
RAPPER CANBAY SPOKE FOR THE FIRST TIME
Rapper Canbay, who was in the same vehicle when young footballer Kubilay Kaan Kundakçı was shot, spoke for the first time following the incident.
Stating, "We were on a street in Ümraniye around 22:00 yesterday. An attack was carried out on our vehicle," Canbay noted that law enforcement is following the incident and that the necessary statements will be made by the Police and the Chief Public Prosecutor's Office.
Regarding the matter, Canbay said, "We are in pain; we lost our brother. We are grieving. The necessary statements will be made by the Police and the Chief Public Prosecutor's Office."
