First statement from the municipality following the 5.9 magnitude earthquake in Malatya

The first statement from the Malatya Metropolitan Municipality has been released following the 5.9 magnitude earthquake that occurred in the Kale district of Malatya and was also felt in Elazığ, Diyarbakır, and Kahramanmaraş.

The statement included the following remarks:

We extend our best wishes for a speedy recovery to all our fellow citizens affected by the 5.9 magnitude earthquake centered in Kale, Malatya.

Immediately following the earthquake, all our teams have been conducting field assessments. As of now, there have been no reports of any negative incidents reaching our command center.
