First statement from Turkey regarding the Azerbaijan-Armenia peace agreement
Following the peace agreement held at the White House, the first statement from Turkey regarding the images of peace displayed by the two leaders has been released.
In a written statement issued by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, it was stated: “We welcome the progress made toward establishing lasting peace between Azerbaijan and Armenia, and the will recorded today in Washington in this context. At a time when international conflicts and crises are increasingly intensifying, this step constitutes an extremely important development in terms of ensuring regional peace and stability. We appreciate the contributions made by the US Administration to the process. A historic opportunity has been seized for the South Caucasus to achieve peace and prosperity. As Turkey, we will continue to contribute to the efforts put forth to realize this opportunity and will support the efforts that dear Azerbaijan is carrying out with dedication.”
