NACİ GÖRÜR: CONCERNING
Geoscientist Prof. Dr. Naci Görür made an assessment regarding the earthquake on his social media account.
Naci Görür wrote the following:
"A 4.5 earthquake occurred in Polat-Doğanşehir/Malatya. I think this earthquake is within the Malatya Fault Zone. The Malatya Fault is a slow fault. The last earthquake was about 2,500 years ago. It has also been loaded by recent earthquakes. It is concerning. It should be studied seriously. MTA, AFAD, and UNIVERSITIES are the candidate institutions."
