Fish deaths in irrigation pond: Investigation launched
An investigation has been launched into fish deaths in an irrigation pond in Edirne. Teams from the Provincial Directorate of Environment, Urbanization and Climate Change have begun work to identify the source of the problem causing the fish deaths.
After seeing fish dying in the pond used for irrigation in the village of Küçükdöllük, which is connected to the city center, village headman Mehmet Meşe reported the situation to the gendarmerie.
Teams conducting an inspection at the pond notified the Provincial Directorate of Environment, Urbanization and Climate Change teams to take samples from the water and the dead fish.
