TRACES OF ILLEGAL BETTING
Between 2021 and 2023, 26 thousand 12 Papara accounts used on illegal betting sites drew attention. The money obtained from these accounts was transferred to 274 different bank accounts and from there to 5 separate crypto wallet addresses.
According to the MASAK report, Mehmet Eyüp Oğan, the owner of one of these wallets, was detained by law enforcement and referred to the courthouse.
The prosecutor's office requested Oğan's arrest due to strong suspicion of a crime and the fact that evidence had not yet been fully collected. Taking into account the lower and upper limits of the sentence, the court decided to arrest Oğan.
