Flash claim regarding ‘those who emulate Dilan Polat’! ‘They have started preparations...’
Hürriyet columnist Abdulkadir Selvi, in his article titled ‘Where does the Dilan Polat case lead?’, stated, “Those on social media who emulate Dilan Polat have started preparing to flee abroad one by one. One of them has even decided to halt their largest operation in Istanbul.”
Journalist Abdulkadir Selvi, known for his proximity to the government, stated that the operation against Dilan Polat and Engin Polat, who were arrested on charges of money laundering, could extend to betting gangs and that this must be followed closely.
Abdulkadir Selvi wrote the following in his column today:
"When I published the MASAK report regarding Dilan Polat and Engin Polat, an official warned, 'These are just the tip of the iceberg.' The Dilan Polat and Engin Polat case is the visible part of the iceberg. Anyone who views this as merely a tabloid story is mistaken. With the Dilan Polat and Engin Polat operation, the end of the thread has been caught. This thread must not be let go.
(...)
Let me share a secret with you; the betting gang has panicked following the Dilan Polat and Engin Polat operation, and those on social media who emulate Dilan Polat have started preparing to flee abroad one by one. One of them has even decided to halt their largest operation in Istanbul."
