Flash move from CHP regarding KYK dormitories! 'Tip-off line' to be established
CHP Deputy Chair Sevgi Kılıç announced that a "tip-off line" will be established within the Youth Branches as part of the work of her party's KYK Dormitories Monitoring Commission.
Following the problems experienced in KYK dormitories, a notable move has come from the Republican People's Party (CHP).
CHP Deputy Chair Sevgi Kılıç, in a written statement, expressed that "the government is blind, deaf, and dumb to the voice of the youth."
Stating that the public will be regularly informed through reports from the KYK Dormitories Monitoring Commission established by her party, Kılıç noted the following:
"The KYK Dormitories Monitoring Commission, which we established within the Ministry of Youth and Sports Deputy Chairmanship and which consists of our Party Assembly members and deputies, will personally follow up on and investigate human rights violations, negligence, and mismanagement practices in KYK dormitories and offer solutions. Furthermore, the tip-off line to be established by our Youth Branches will identify those reporting non-compliant situations and will intervene in problems immediately. We will evaluate the demands, suggestions, and complaints of students, families, and employees staying in the dormitories and will inform the public at regular intervals with reports. I would like to announce that we are initiating a process in which those responsible for violations and negligence will be pursued and necessary steps will be taken."
Along with Kılıç's statement, the commission's one-month report regarding KYK dormitories was also shared.
