A child who stepped into a puddle in Istanbul's Fatih district has died after being electrocuted.
The incident occurred at Çukurbostan Park in the Balat neighborhood of Fatih district. According to the information obtained, 14-year-old M.I. was electrocuted after stepping into a puddle in the park.
Upon notification, police and medical teams were dispatched to the scene.
While the police took security measures in the surrounding area, the 14-year-old child was taken to the hospital following initial intervention by medical teams.
The child, who was unconscious, could not be saved despite all interventions and lost their life.
The investigation initiated regarding the incident is ongoing.
