Producer Armağan Çağlayan, following the statements by AKP Chairman and President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan regarding a new reconciliation process, recalled the mayors currently imprisoned as part of the 'City Consensus' investigation.
AKP Chairman and President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan delivered a speech at his party's consultation meeting in Kızılcahamam, which was described as being 'historic' in nature.
Speaking about a new reconciliation process, Erdoğan said, "We will carry this process into the future by cooking it up, God willing, with the AK Party, MHP, and the DEM delegation."
Following this statement, which dominated the agenda, producer Armağan Çağlayan raised an important question by recalling the mayors who were arrested as part of the investigation known as the City Consensus.
Çağlayan stated, "After this speech, I suppose there is no reason left for anyone who is imprisoned due to the 'city consensus' to remain in custody?"
