As significant steps are being taken in the Imrali process that began following MHP Chairman Devlet Bahçeli's remarks at his party's parliamentary group meeting, Bahçeli is supporting the progress of the process through phone calls he has been making during this period. This time, Devlet Bahçeli reached out to a figure from the opposition front.
Following the Imrali delegation's call for PKK terrorist organization leader Öcalan to lay down arms, statements from political parties continue to arrive one after another.

This time, Bahçeli called a figure from the opposition front. Calling CHP Diyarbakır deputy Sezgin Tanrıkulu, Bahçeli stated, "We are going through important days; your support is important."
