As food prices increase with each passing day, citizens continue to feel concerned about the incoming price hikes. "Regarding bread, which is the staple food of our people, the 30 percent increase in the price of flour, which is our main raw material for bread, over the last month—meaning it has gone from the 630 TL band to approximately the 800 band—and the differences in our other inputs are putting our baker tradesmen, who are the producers, in a serious bind. These increases make a rise in bread prices inevitable."
