AKP's IMM candidate Murat Kurum attended the "Producing Istanbul, Growing Turkey Program" held at the Mandarin Oriental Hotel last night.

Galatasaray President Dursun Özbek and former Galatasaray President Burak Elmas also attended the program. Footage of Kurum holding Özbek's face with his hands became a trending topic on social media.

ÖZBEK HAD ANNOUNCED HIS SUPPORT FOR KURUM

As part of his election campaign, AKP's IMM Mayoral Candidate Murat Kurum visited football clubs, including Galatasaray on January 17. Following the visit, Galatasaray President Dursun Özbek stated, "I know my honorable minister's perspective on Istanbul very well. We had the opportunity to discuss these matters both during his time at Emlak Konut and within the framework of his duties after becoming minister. My personal opinion is that the honorable minister is a chance for Istanbul... I am extremely confident that he will continue his activities specifically within the framework of Istanbul's needs."
