Footage of armed jewelry store robbery in Sancaktepe emerges: This is how they stole the gold

In Sancaktepe, on Ankara Street, 3 masked individuals arrived in front of a jewelry store in a rental car around 10:00 AM.

The robbers pointed the automatic weapons they pulled out in the shop at the jeweler and stole a quantity of gold from the display case. At that moment, a struggle broke out between the robbers and the jeweler, Nurettin Mengühan. As a result of the fire opened by the robbers, jeweler Nurettin Mengühan was wounded in his knees. Just as the robbers were leaving the shop to get into their vehicle, the jeweler's son, Özgür Mengühan, came out of the shop and opened fire on the robbers.

As the individuals returned fire, a clash broke out between the parties. During the clash, numerous bullets hit the shop's window. While the individuals fled the scene in the vehicle, the jeweler fired a few more shots behind them. Upon notification, police and medical teams were dispatched to the scene. The wounded Nurettin Mengühan was taken to the hospital by ambulance. In the investigation conducted by police teams at the scene, approximately 50 bullet impacts were detected on the shop's window and its surroundings. On the other hand, it was determined that the car used by the robbers in the incident was rented from a car rental company in Beykoz and that the robbers fled towards Gebze. The police investigation into the incident is ongoing.
